Job summary

Carvana seeks an experienced Project Manager, Environmental Health and Safety to lead air‑quality compliance for facilities nationwide. You will manage permits, emissions inventories, and regulatory reporting, while supporting broader environmental programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and 3+ years in environmental compliance. Onsite work in Tempe, AZ with travel as needed supports a dynamic, data‑driven team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field required.
• At least 3 years of relevant EHS experience including air permitting.
• Experience with emissions reporting and regulatory compliance.</li>
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of RCRA, Clean Air Act, CWA, and SARA Title III.

Responsibilities

• Manage air permits, registrations, renewals, fees, and records.
• Prepare emissions inventories, rolling totals, and required reports.
• Gather facility data nationwide for Tier II, air, and waste reports.
• Review SPCC/SWPPP plans and permit revisions.
• Coordinate with regulators and inspectors as needed.
• Support permitting for new facilities and equipment changes.
• Analyze data to identify trends and report progress.
