Job summary

ERM Environmental Resources Management in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to join the Performance & Assurance team. The role is field-based with a minimum of 3 days on-site, a 40-hour week, and a fixed-term assignment through December 31, 2025.

The incumbent will perform audits, provide training and coaching, develop procedures, and support EHS compliance across multiple areas including lab safety, chemical safety, and hazard controls.

Qualifications

• Effective written/verbal communication and organizational/analytical skills.
• Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance audits to assess client compliance with health and safety or environmental requirements.
• Provide training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments to improve safety performance.
• Identify follow-up corrective actions to close audit findings.
• Provide technical assistance on EHS compliance and management system projects (R&D lab safety, chemical safety, machine guarding, laser safety, robotics safety, hazardous materials).
• Develop and implement EHS compliance procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
• Manage tasks within scope/budget/schedule and ensure quality on deliverables.
• Build client relationships and nurture repeat business.
• Support ERM Partners and Project Managers to deliver projects.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with ERM colleagues.
