Job summary

Fervo Energy Company is seeking a Geologist to support design, planning, and execution of large-scale geothermal developments. The role focuses on subsurface characterization, geologic modeling, and operational decision-making during drilling, completion, and testing activities.

You will work closely with senior geologists, reservoir engineers, geophysicists, and drilling teams, providing geological input and integrating multidisciplinary data to guide asset development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, geophysics, or related discipline required.
• 3+ years of geothermal and/or oil & gas subsurface experience.
• Experience interpreting subsurface data and logs; Petrel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support well planning, drilling and completion campaigns with real-time geological input.
• Develop and QC development plans, well paths, and geologic prognoses.
• Plan and supervise mudlogging, logging, sampling, and wellsite geology activities.
• Support flow-test planning and execution for resource confirmation and early production testing.
• Integrate datasets to support 3D geological models and reservoir characterization.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geophysicists, drilling teams and land teams.
• Prepare technical summaries and presentations for internal reviews.
• Assist with data quality control and archiving of subsurface datasets.
