Job summary

Fervo Energy is seeking an Asset Reservoir Engineer to lead asset development planning and perform reservoir engineering analysis to support geothermal development.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine development plans, build economic evaluations, run reservoir simulations, forecast production, and guide field decisions. This role reports to the Asset Reservoir Engineering Lead and requires travel for fieldwork up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 6+ years oil/gas or geothermal engineering experience.
• 1+ year field experience in oil & gas or geothermal operations.
• Experience applying economic models to asset development decisions.
• Experience in production forecasting and probabilistic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recommendations based on comprehensive technical evaluation.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to generate and refine development plans.
• Evaluate economics of asset plans and development scenarios.
• Collaborate with subsurface and engineering teams to plan data acquisition programs.
• Interpret stimulation data and production/injection data to inform design decisions.
• Analyze reservoir data (pressure, DFIT, tracers) to guide planning.
• Develop data acquisition and well testing programs for field projects.
• Develop production forecasts and history-match reservoir simulations.
