Job summary

Fervo Energy in Golden, CO is seeking a Geologist to support wellfield design, planning, and execution of geothermal developments. You will integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to build 3D models and guide drilling through data-rich operations.

Working with cross-functional teams, you’ll plan drilling campaigns, supervise logging and sampling, and contribute to petrophysical modeling while traveling to field sites across the western U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, geophysics, or related field.
• 3+ years of geothermal or subsurface experience.
• Experience with geologic interpretation and subsurface data integration.
• Experience supporting drilling, completions, or wellsite operations.
• Ability to travel to field locations as required.
• Proficiency with Petrel or similar software.
• Strong analytical skills and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of geothermal drilling and completion campaigns.
• Develop and QC development plans, well paths, and geologic prognoses.
• Plan and supervise mudlogging, logging, sampling at the wellsite.
• Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical data for 3D models.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineering, geophysics, drilling, and production teams.
