Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to oversee safety, scheduling, and field operations on active projects in Montgomery, AL. This role reports to the Construction Superintendent and collaborates with the project team to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of construction management experience, a relevant degree, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in CM/related field.
• 5+ years of construction management experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is integrated into job planning and execution.
• Oversee self-performed work and coordinate with foremen.
• Review AHAs for trade partners and allocate material handling plans.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinator on RFIs and material needs.
• Maintain four-week project schedule and supervise field crew.
• Lead weekly scheduling meetings and manage cost records.
• Inspect received materials for quantity and quality; document results.
• Own quality control for Company and subcontractors.
