Job summary

Sealaska is seeking a Driller Assistant/Driller Helper to support drilling operations from setup to abandonment. The role involves preparing equipment and sites, performing physical labor, and maintaining safety standards on a seasonal basis.

Applicants with Environmental Driller Assistant experience may be rewarded with higher pay. A CDL and clean driving record are strongly preferred. This position requires long hours, outdoor work, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willing to travel extensively.
• HAZWOPER, Forklift, CPR First-Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to pass a yearly physical and random drug test.
• Mechanical ability for minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip inspection.
• Set up a control zone.
• Perform physical labor, shoveling, drilling debris, and transporting materials using ergonomically correct lifting techniques.
• Maintain equipment.
• Ability to fill in for driller when qualified.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain all certifications required by the Industry or OSHA.
• Forklift trained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
