Job summary

Brice Civil Constructors Inc. seeks a Driller Assistant for a seasonal mineral exploration project in Alaska. You will assist the drilling team with operation, maintenance, and safety of drilling equipment on site, supporting the Driller and maintaining workflow on a remote complex site.

The role requires a High School Diploma and a 5000-23 Surface Mining Certification, with willingness to work long shifts in harsh conditions. Temporary position with multi-month duration and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5000-23 Surface Mining Certification dated within the past 5 years required.
• Pass drug, background screening and physical.
• Alaska rural construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mobilizing and setting up drilling sites safely.
• Transport necessary supplies to the drill site.
• Maintain safety equipment and comply with regulations.
• Mix and prepare drilling fluids as required.
• Support the Driller and monitor drilling operations, often 12–14 hour shifts.
• Provide training and mentorship to new Driller Assistants as needed.
