Equipment Depot, Inc. seeks a Dock Technician to install and service dock equipment at customer locations, with most work outdoors in varying weather.

You will service dock levelers, shelters, seals, doors, and related hardware, communicating with customers and the dispatcher to schedule jobs. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED (or 12+ months related dock equipment experience), a valid driver’s license, and basic electrical knowledge; welding is a plus and safety is emphasized in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 12+ months related experience in maintaining either commercial doors or dock equipment and/or training; welding experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the company.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic electrical knowledge is required; more advanced is a plus.
• Welding experience is preferred and useful for in-field repairs.

Responsabilités

• Repair and service dock and doors.
• Diagnose equipment problems and offer solutions to meet customer specifications.
• Represent Equipment Depot to customers with a professional image.
• Emphasize safety and environmental protection in all tasks.
• Complete paperwork and obtain customer signatures; order parts as needed.
