Job summary

Peterson Cat Power Systems in Hillsboro, OR seeks an experienced Field Dispatcher to coordinate service technicians and materials for field repairs, and to manage related paperwork.

You will open work orders in DBS, verify PO numbers, check warranties in SIS, collect COD payments, and stay on a rotating after-hours schedule to support customers. Prior dispatching or heavy equipment background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; and a minimum of 2 years of directly related customer service experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• A background in dispatching and/or heavy equipment/mechanical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the assignments of service technicians and materials to accomplish field repairs.
• Open work orders in DBS with customer information and PO number or account to be charged.
• Use SIS to check warranty status or known issues by serial range to aid repairs.
• Collect COD from customers at job end; handle credit cards, checks, and cash when required.
• Use Varian for PO numbers for outside purchases and charge to correct accounts.
• Maintain a log of field technicians' locations using the scheduler.
• Review fault codes in Vision Link before dispatching technicians.
• Be on call on a rotating schedule for after-hours emergencies and other stores.
