Job summary

Amgen Inc. (IR) in the United States is seeking a Field Director of Medical Science Liaisons for the Northeast Region (Obesity & Related Conditions). You will lead a team of MSLs, shape medical strategy, and guide cross‑functional collaboration with senior leadership to advance patient care.

You will monitor performance, coach staff, ensure compliant field plans, and support strategic engagement with investigators and health systems. A strong clinical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree & 4 years of Medical Affairs experience OR
• Master’s degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of Medical Affairs experience AND 4 years of managerial experience
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. preferred with 7+ years industry experience in Medical Affairs
• Experience leading teams, projects, or budgets in biotech/pharma
• Obesity and Related Conditions expertise is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a region of MSLs to execute field medical plans.
• Develop field medical strategy and SEPs in collaboration with leadership.
• Ensure compliance standards and administrative duties are met (CRM, training).
• Represent MSLs in cross‑functional discussions with senior leaders.
• Oversee engagement with OLs, IDNs, and other institutions.
