Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for Obesity and Related Conditions in Newark, NJ. This field-based role serves as the primary scientific resource for OLs, PHDMs, and healthcare providers, driving medical strategy and data exchange.

You will engage investigators, communicate clinical data, and support sponsored or non-sponsored research while partnering across Amgen field roles to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 2 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Master’s degree with 6 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers and other healthcare providers and execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy.
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data to IDNs and other institutions to illustrate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data.
• Lead and participate in congress activities and speaker trainings aligned with strategy.
• Mentor other MSLs and complete administrative tasks (CRM, expense reports, compliance modules).
