Job summary

Amgen’s Senior Medical Science Liaison for Obesity and Related Conditions in Newark, NJ leads field-based scientific engagement with opinion leaders and healthcare professionals. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered).
• Seven or more years in a medically related field, incl. 1 year of clinical activity.
• 2+ years in a medical science liaison role in biotech/pharma.
• Cardiometabolic and/or obesity expertise.
• Experience with designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Discuss and advance the scientific platform with peers and OLs.
• Engage with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data of clinical value to IDNs and institutions.
• Lead and participate on project teams that support MSL strategies.
• Mentor other MSLs as designated by MSL leadership.
• Complete administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Maintain and improve clinical/scientific acumen with current data and trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and communicate data clearly.
