Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Field Designer to bridge design and field execution. You will support construction, installation, commissioning, and implementation by providing practical design solutions, evaluating field conditions, and ensuring deliverables are achieved on schedule.

This hybrid role combines office and site work in Commerce City, CO, with regular client facility visits. Ideal candidates have an associate or bachelor’s degree, 5–7 years of design experience, and strong

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of design experience, including field support.
• Strong understanding of design documentation and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support construction and field execution through technical design assistance.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, constructability reviews, and field verification.
• Evaluate field conditions and recommend design modifications when necessary.
• Coordinate design revisions resulting from field observations or construction changes.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients throughout project execution.
• Review field documentation and as-built information for completeness and accuracy.
• Support commissioning, startup, and project closeout activities.
• Mentor junior designers on field practices and constructability considerations.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
