Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks a Utility Infrastructure Designer/Engineer to design and manage underground utility projects for government and private clients in the Mid-Atlantic. The role encompasses planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services, including renewables integration.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background with 4+ years of utility design experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School degree or state equivalency required.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with utility design or related work.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD a plus.
• Exceptional communication, technical writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Planning, design, permitting/approvals, and construction phase services for underground utility projects.
• Projects include new installations, repairs, upgrades, modifications, and reconfigurations.
• Support sustainable urban infrastructure, including renewable energy sources.
