Job summary

Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Field Engineer Support to be the first contact for customers seeking electric services and pole attachments. You will review drawings, discuss layouts, and modify electric services for residential, commercial, and development projects.

Strong CAD skills and experience in engineering operations are valued. This role involves designing utility infrastructure, coordinating with City/state agencies, and producing time/material estimates.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or closely related field preferred; or completion of an electric apprenticeship program.
• At least 7 years of experience in a relevant electric/engineering-oriented field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings for land/subdivision development and discuss layouts with homeowners and commercial customers.
• Prepare construction drawings (AutoCAD) and materials specifications; ensure materials meet specs.
• Review and design projects using AutoCAD and other engineering applications; provide cost estimates.
