Job summary

Kargo is seeking a technically hands-on professional to provide remote support for Field Operations Technicians and to monitor deployed hardware. You will help troubleshoot, document procedures, and drive efficiency by automating repetitive tasks.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in a related role, a relevant degree, and comfort with scripting; strong communication with field staff and software engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in a hands-on technical role such as IT support or field service.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent.
• Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ are a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting or query languages and ability to write simple queries.
• Automation mindset; prefer automating tasks over repetitive manual work.
• Strong communication and collaboration with field technicians and software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to Field Operations Technicians during hardware installations and maintenance.
• Monitor deployed hardware, investigate alerts and downtime, and troubleshoot issues.
• Create and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and automate tasks to improve efficiency.
• Partner with software engineers to troubleshoot challenges and translate feedback into requirements.
• Pilot new internal tools and workflows and support continuous improvements.
