Job summary

Education Development Center (EDC) is seeking part-time Data-Collectors (Casual I) to administer tablet-based science assessments in elementary classrooms. This role supports a federally funded study across multiple locations, including travel to Portland, Oregon, Madison, Wisconsin, and East Syracuse, New York.

The position involves 15–20 hours per week during key testing windows (Oct–Nov and May–Jun) across three school years, with responsibilities including data entry, coordination with

Qualifications

• Requires excellent communication, initiative and flexibility.
• Background checks and fingerprinting required.
• Data collectors must pass state background checks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in study orientation and trainings.
• Become a reliable assessment administrator.
• Travel locally to data collection sites.
• Conduct assessments with kindergarten and first grade students.
• Complete data entry and notes within 24 hours of collection.
