Job summary

Education Development Center (EDC) is seeking 5 part‑time Data-Collectors (Casual I) to support a federally funded study in early elementary science and literacy. The role requires in‑person assessments in elementary classrooms, with flexible travel to Madison, WI; East Syracuse, NY; Portland, OR; San Juan, CA.

You will administer tablet-based assessments to kindergarten and first grade students, train under supervision, and manage data entry and notes within 24 hours of collection.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
Experience working in school settings with elementary students.

Responsibilities

Participate in study orientation and training.
Become a reliable assessment administrator.
Travel locally/regionally to schools within specified sites.
Conduct assessments with kindergarten and first grade students.
Complete data entry and notes within 24 hours of collection.
Coordinate with teachers and study team leaders on schedules.
Maintain equipment and tablet technology for assessments.
Support data collection across multiple sites and times.
