Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for the DCPD Health and Safety program. This field-based role requires reporting to field construction projects across the United States, Canada, and South America, five days a week, with occasional international travel.

You will drive H&S program deployment, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, and lead safety initiatives to improve the safety culture within AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in construction or industrial environments, including knowledge of safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review due diligence risk assessments with real estate and construction teams on H&S aspects.
• Coordinate with DCPD managers to prioritize H&S in planning and execution across project phases.
• Ensure onboarding compliance of General Contractors and AWS deployment vendors in Avetta.
• Attend site H&S kickoff sessions and review Construction Safety Management Plans.
• Document data in standard reporting tools (Weekly/Montly reviews) for leadership teams.
• Manage 3rd party/internal H&S resources on DCPD projects.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with regional teams on issues impacting handover.
• Audit projects against processes and analyze leading/lagging indicators for trends and risks.
• Conduct regular site visits with H&S resources and project teams.
• Host project and regional H&S kickoff and annual performance review sessions.
