Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support planning and delivery of data center projects. This field-based role reports to the Regional Construction Safety Manager and partners with Real Estate, Permitting, Pre-Construction, Construction, Commissioning, Security and Procurement teams to achieve health and safety goals.

You will work with General Contractors and AWS suppliers to ensure H&S expectations are met, deploy safety programs, and monitor

Qualifications

6+ years of program or project management experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
5+ years of health and safety experience in construction or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

This is a field based role, required to report to work at field construction projects around Northern Virginia five days per week.
Deploy H&S programs covering leadership, planning, support, operational controls, continuous improvement, performance management, ensure the businesses are operating to jurisdictional requirements and AWS SMP requirements.
Coordinate with DCPD teams (Real Estate, Due Diligence, Permitting, Energy, Pre-Construction, Construction, Commissioning, Security and Procurement) to achieve health and safety goals.
Engage with General Contractors and AWS suppliers to confirm/clarify business expectations for H&S and improve H&S of contracted services.
Document data and anecdotes for reporting to DCPD and H&S leadership.
