Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support AWS Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) programs. The role partners with Real Estate, Due Diligence, Permitting, Energy, and Construction teams to uphold health and safety standards across projects.

Based in field locations including Columbus, OH, San Antonio, TX and Denver, CO, the role requires travel and onsite presence five days a week, with opportunities to engage with contractors and vendors to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in construction or industrial environments, including knowledge of safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive H&S outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Report to work at field construction projects around Columbus, OH, San Antonio, TX and Denver, CO five days per week.
• Deploy and manage H&S programs covering leadership, planning, controls, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure contractor safety management and Avetta onboarding compliance for AWS deployment vendors.
• Conduct site visits with H&S resources and project teams to review Contractor Safety Management Plans.
• Document data and observations for leadership reviews and governance reports.
