Job summary

WSO2 is seeking a Field CTO to join our North America Sales Engineering team. You will act as the voice of technology, advising CXOs and guiding architectural decisions that align WSO2’s open source and SaaS offerings with customers’ business goals.

This hybrid role blends architectural depth with senior-level sales leadership, requiring travel 30–40% across North America to engage with customers and attend industry events.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in technical sales, enterprise architecture, or professional services.
• Deep understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, HL7v2, X12, CCDA) and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS Interoperability Rules, ONC 21st Century Cures Act).
• Proven track record of selling to Fortune 500 companies within North America.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT; MBA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evangelism and Thought Leadership: represent WSO2 at industry events and publish thought leadership.
• Strategic Sales Support: lead top-down technical engagements with CXOs.
• Architectural Advisory: provide high-level architectural oversight for strategic opportunities.
• Market Intelligence: translate customer challenges into product requirements for roadmaps.
• Post-Sales Strategic Alignment: executive reviews to ensure value and identify expansion opportunities.
• Mentorship: mentor Sales Engineering team on communicating business value.
