Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson in Ohio to lead daily crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. You will mentor employees, troubleshoot field issues, and manage training to ensure quality and safety across assignments.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to adapt to field requirements and work independently.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limit approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Willingness to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training per company policies and OSHA.
• Discusses access, power interruption, work scope, and property damage with owners/customers; refers complex cases.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes good customer relations through effective completion of work and appropriate crew conduct.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance.
• Controls crew costs, including use of people, methods, and equipment.
• Provides reports on orders completed, units of work, crew time, and minor damage repairs.
• Furnishes incident reports and machinery breakdowns to General Foreperson.
• Cooperates with customers and emergency services when blocking streets or driveways.
