Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Field Coordinator - Facilities (Assistant Project Manager) to support construction and interior design projects in NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. You will assist with RFP development, attend meetings with notes, and arrange site visits while compiling data for design, budgeting and scheduling.

You will work directly with NYP Project Managers on site inspections and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 4+ years related experience with an Associate degree.
• 2+ years related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.
• Experience on construction job sites.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Ability to interpret client needs and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of RFPs and attend project meetings with notes.
• Coordinate site visits and compile data for design, budgeting and scheduling.
• Conduct job site inspections with project managers and prepare progress reports.
• Prepare reports on safety and project progress for stakeholders.

Examples of responsibilities include; assist with the development of RFPs, attend project meetings and provide meeting notes, arrange visits to project sites, as necessary, and compile and ensure the accuracy of data used for design, budgeting and scheduling, as examples.The successful candidate will work directly with NYP Project Managers to conduct job site inspections, ensure activities comply with hospital guidelines and external regulations, and prepare reports on project progress and safety. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the placement of furniture, fixtures and equipment for capital projects.
