Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Field Coordinator – Facilities (Assistant Project Manager) to support construction and interior design projects across NYP. You will assist with RFP development, attend meetings and capture notes, and help track design, budgeting and scheduling data.

In this role you will conduct job site inspections, ensure compliance with hospital guidelines and regulations, and oversee furniture, fixtures and equipment placement for capital projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience with an Associate degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, WORD, PowerPoint and MS Project.
• Ability to interpret client needs and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Experience on construction job sites.
• Willingness to learn and collaborative mindset.

Field Coordinator – Facilities ( Assistant Project Manager )

In this position as a Field Coordinator, the successful candidate will be an assistant project manager for construction and interior design projects throughout NYP. Examples of responsibilities include: assist with the development of RFPs, attend project meetings and provide meeting notes, arrange visits to project sites, as necessary, and compile and ensure the accuracy of data used for design, budgeting and scheduling, as examples.

Location: New York, New York

Shift: Day (United States of America)

The successful candidate will work directly with NYP Project Managers to conduct job site inspections, ensure activities comply with hospital guidelines and external regulations, and prepare reports on project progress and safety. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the placement of furniture, fixtures and equipment for capital projects. The Field Coordinator position provides additional opportunities within the Facilities, Design and Construction department including mentorship, regular educational opportunities, and leadership development within Capital Project Management.

This is a full time position working on projects affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Required Criteria

• Associate's Degree
