Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Cooling Tower Tech (CTT) to assist with construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repairs for all types of cooling towers across the United States. You will work with limited supervision to meet safety and quality standards and may travel extensively based on project location.

The role involves reading blueprints, assisting with mechanical equipment installation, and supporting field operations under supervision of foremen and managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License or ID and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• Experience in an industrial workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of mechanical equipment including motors, fans, gear boxes and drive shafts.
• Reads blue prints, sketches, or building plans and liaises with Foreman for direction.
• Assist with selecting lumber and materials for the job.
• Prepare layout using rulers and calipers; mark cuts and assembly lines.
• Assist with shaping materials and erecting framework; assist with piping/nozzle installation.
• Perform tasks under supervision to meet safety and project timelines.
