Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, USA, seeks a Field Service Controls Technician to support installation, startup, troubleshooting, and on-site service of BAC control systems and related equipment.

The role requires extensive travel across the Southeastern United States and residing in Texas, with a remote, field-based work model. You will coordinate with customers, contractors, and BAC engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Tech, Electronics, Mechatronics, HVAC/R or related; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years field service, controls/automation, HVAC commissioning.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems and motor controls.
• Experience with VFDs and BACnet/MODBUS communication protocols.
• Ability to read electrical drawings; strong safety practice knowledge.
• Extensive travel and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission BAC control systems and related equipment.
• Verify installation, operation, and network connectivity of BMS communications.
• Coordinate startup schedules with customers and BAC personnel.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, controls, and equipment performance issues.
• Provide customer training on system operation and preventive maintenance.
• Document field activities, startup docs, and service reports.
