Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Controls Field Engineer to lead field commissioning of building automation systems tailored to each customer. You will work in the field as a technical expert, solving complex problems, programming BAS controllers, and serving as the main contact for the client.

The role requires hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and customer communication, with responsibilities spanning software loading, trend configuration, and site training on completed systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of Building Automation and HVAC experience.
• Capable of climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License and insurability by company insurance.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer BAS systems.
• Serve as local field contact for technical issues.
• Provide turnkey project delivery on small to medium projects.
• Ensure proper operation of systems: controls, sensors, software.
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
• Document project status and details for the customer.
• Provide site-specific training to owners/operators.
• Use time-management to ensure customer satisfaction.
