Job summary

CPM Acquisition Corp. is seeking a Control Service Technician to provide post-startup service and support to our outside customer base. You will troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and training issues via VPN, and interface with customers through phone, email, and ticketing systems.

You will work on a wide range of control systems, diagnose network and ladder logic issues, and log time spent with customers. Occasional travel to bakeries and industrial sites is possible.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in electronics or electrical tech is required.
• Experience in PLC/HMI programming and control systems is preferred.
• Strong written communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Customer service mindset for supporting clients and teams.
• Familiarity with Rockwell/Siemens automation platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot programming, electrical, and mechanical issues for customers.
• Escalate requests to projects or sales as appropriate.
• Make minor ladder logic modifications for PLCs.
• Troubleshoot Ethernet and HMI communications.
• Log issues and track time spent per customer.
• Navigate VPN connections to customer sites.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Suggest material or machinery changes to reduce costs or boost production.
• Provide technical and non-technical support to clients and staff.
• Collaborate with team to delegate requests.
• Follow up on issues to ensure resolution.
• Coordinate with service management for after-hours calls on rotation.
