Job summary

Advanced Process Solutions LLC is seeking a Controls Engineer to provide in-house support for PLC-based control systems across production and service operations. Responsibilities include programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining Allen-Bradley platforms, plus developing schematics and documentation.

You will collaborate with production, service, and engineering teams, travel up to 20% domestically for fab commissioning and field maintenance, and support new installations and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, or related field) required.
• Several years of hands-on PLC programming with Allen‑Bradley control systems.
• Proficient in ladder logic, function block, and structured text.
• Experience developing and maintaining HMI interfaces (FactoryTalk View) and SCADA systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and work in production/field environments.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and maintain PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley) for production and field service.
• Troubleshoot control system faults to minimize downtime and support repairs.
• Design, modify, and test PLC logic, HMI screens, and SCADA applications for new equipment and changes.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and controls documentation.
• Collaborate with production, service, and engineering to commission new controls.
• Travel up to 20% for fab commissioning, updates, and field maintenance.
• Provide in-house technical support and training on control systems.
