Job summary

Alfred Benesch & Company is seeking a Construction Representative to oversee daily inspection and documentation of road, water main, and sewer projects. You will manage client relationships and contribute to strategic growth within the construction group.

Responsibilities include reviewing budgets, observing construction activities, documenting progress, and supporting project managers with design assistance. A valid driver’s license and field experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Construction Engineering (EIT preferred).
• 0–5 years of DOT experience preferred.
• Field project experience desired.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak or AutoCAD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure project supervisor of budget and schedule adequacy.
• Perform construction observation and follow project procedures.
• Maintain a field book per project procedures.
• Measure construction work and calculate pay item quantities.
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documents.
• Report progress, including technical issues and remaining work.
• Review plans, specs, and submittals for assigned work.
• Provide design or professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicle or equipment assigned to the project.
