Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Construction Representative to oversee field construction on infrastructure projects, including road, water main, and sewer work, while helping manage client relationships.

The role requires a BS in Civil or Construction Engineering, DOT experience preferred, and familiarity with ArcGIS/AutoCAD. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork are essential, with opportunities for growth in a client-focused firm.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Construction Engineering, or related field.
• EIT preferred.
• 0-5 years of DOT experience preferred.
• Experience with ArcGIS, MicroStation, Geopak and/or AutoCAD desirable.
• Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Strong organization, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review and assure project supervisor of budget and scheduling adequacy.
• Perform construction observation and document field activities.
• Maintain a field book per project procedures.
• Measure construction work and calculate pay item quantities.
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and project documentation.
• Report progress and issues to the project supervisor.
• Review plans, specs, and submittals related to the work.
• Provide design or professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company vehicles or equipment on the project.
