Job summary

NY STATE ELECTRIC & GAS CORP is seeking a Coordinator - Field Construction to manage field programs and projects in the Gas Projects department. The role focuses on timely completion within budget and provides leadership, planning, and status reporting for projects while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The position reports to the Gas Construction Supervisor and requires strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience Required: High School Diploma/GED equivalent & 3 years of experience.
• Associates Degree with 5 years experience.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in field operations capital project work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on field projects and coordinate project teams.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget with regular status reports.
• Act as liaison between cross-functional teams and hold regular status meetings.
• Lead team members to secure resources and achieve day-to-day goals.
• Administer bid contracts and assist with change orders.
