Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator for our Program Management Services Division in New York. You will oversee contractor crews, ensure safety, QA/QC, and environmental compliance while coordinating with the Project Manager, Scheduler, and document control teams to meet client requirements.

The role requires at least five years in electric utility construction, experience with transmission facilities, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management.
• Two (2) years of college is preferred.
• Distribution line work experience required.
• MS Suite required with high competency in MS Excel.
• Knowledge of NRA clearances, switching orders, OSHA and regulatory statutes.
• Ability to read/interpret specifications and drawings and convey to contractors.
• Experience reviewing project plans, specifications, and contract enforcement.
• Strong MS Office knowledge including Excel, Access, Word, and MS Project.
• Ability to walk distribution lines or remote right of way and interact with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.
• Applies project safety program requirements to ensure compliance with standards and codes.
• Assists in creation and facilitation of the project quality program.
• Works with Project Manager to ensure projects are built per plans and codes with quality.
• Assists in development/maintenance of construction schedule with project team.
• Leads project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress.
• Provides strong leadership to construction team to meet targets.
• Identifies risks/opportunities to impact schedule and cost.
• Engineering coordination and constructability reviews.
• Participates in conference calls/meetings and documents project status.
• Keeps written/photos on-site records and site status of materials.
• Documents and publishes daily/weekly construction reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
