Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electric utility experience.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Access, Word and MS Project.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Construction Manager, assist with oversight of electric utility work performed for Electric Operations by Line Contractors to ensure the best interest of Customer; responsible for a number of contractor crews.
• Field check crews, help coordinate vegetation management sequencing, perform quality control, and handle paperwork and scheduling.
• Maintain familiarity with work orders, engineering sketches, permits, and easements.
• Represent the Company in working with the contractor supervisor/working foreman for the duration of the project to make sure material resource needs are met, the construction plan is followed, and project paperwork needed for invoice approval is submitted in a timely manner.
• Assist with field inspections and monitor the contractor to ensure conformity of electric distribution and/or transmission projects to Customer construction standards.
• Interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders — including customers, pedestrians, Customer Management, Safety specialists, energy control center operators, and other utility-related contacts — to resolve problems and minimize project delays.
