Job summary

K&A Engineering in Ithaca, NY is seeking a highly skilled Field Construction Coordinator to lead field activities on energy projects. You will coordinate schedules, resources, and safety with the Project Manager and Construction Manager, ensuring work meets quality, cost, and schedule targets.

You will monitor progress, prepare weekly reports, review contractor invoices, and maintain on-site documentation while promoting a proactive safety culture and clear communication with all

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive electric utility experience in transmission facilities construction.
• Two years of college preferred.
• Distribution line work experience required.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specs.
• Must have valid US work authorization and driver’s license.
• Experience supervising teams (5+ years).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field progress with PM/CM and manage mobilization/demobilization.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Attend safety, environment, and quality meetings.
• Inspect materials and workmanship for conformance.
• Resolve construction issues with engineering, inspectors, contractors.
• Maintain daily on-site as-built plans.
• Ensure CIP and safety compliance across the project.
