Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a CMT Engineering Technician / Special Inspector to join our team in Kennesaw, Georgia. You will perform field testing, inspections, and documentation across diverse commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects in the Atlanta metro area.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction materials testing or inspection, and hold an active ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I Certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction materials testing or inspection
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean record

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, grout and rebar per specs
• Observe construction activities and collect field data on active sites
• Review plans for field observations and testing tasks
• Document results and site conditions using electronic reporting systems
• Communicate testing results with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients
• Assist teams in identifying issues and ensuring compliance with requirements
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment per industry standards
• Work safely on commercial and heavy civil sites in the Atlanta area
