Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a CMT Field Engineer in Kennesaw, GA to support Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection across the Atlanta metro area. The role is salaried with overtime paid and offers strong advancement potential on prestigious southeastern projects.

Primary duties include data analysis, field testing of soils, concrete and other materials, plus report preparation and client coordination. 80% fieldwork, 20% office with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or equivalent with NCEES evaluation.
• 0–4+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, or asphalt.
• Entry-level graduates are encouraged to apply.
• EIT license is preferred but not required.
• Position involves roughly 80% fieldwork and 20% office work with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis and fieldwork for diverse projects.
• Assisting with project management and reporting.
• Field inspection, sampling and testing of soils/foundations, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
• Report preparation and client consultation.
