Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a CMT Field Engineer in Kennesaw, GA to support Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspection projects around the Atlanta metro area. This is a Salaried + Over time Paid position with opportunities for growth on prestigious southeastern projects.

Responsibilities include data reduction and analysis, field sampling and testing of soils, concrete and masonry, report preparation, and client communication. 80% fieldwork and 20% office with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (or equivalent with NCEES evaluation) is required.
• 0–4+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.
• Entry-level graduates are encouraged to apply.
• EIT license preferred, not required.
• Position entails approximately 80% fieldwork and 20% office with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis and fieldwork for testing/inspection projects.
• Assisting with project management and reporting.
• Field inspection, sampling and testing of soils, foundations, concrete and masonry.
• Report preparation and client consultation.
