NOVA Engineering & Environmental in Norcross, Georgia, is seeking an ICC Soils Special Inspector / CMT Engineering Technician to join our growing team. You will perform construction materials testing and special inspections for commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, transportation, and infrastructure projects around Metro Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of field testing or inspection experience.
• Current ICC Soils Special Inspector certification required.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, grout, mortar, and reinforcing steel per ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project specs.
• Observe construction activities and collect field data at active sites.
• Review construction plans and specs for field observations and testing assignments.
• Document testing results, observations, and site conditions using electronic reporting systems.
• Communicate testing and inspection results with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Assist teams in identifying construction issues and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment in accordance with industry standards.
