Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Special Inspector 2 to perform field inspections, testing and reporting on construction materials and projects in Boise and surrounding areas. You will collect samples, review plans, test materials like rebar and concrete, and support project teams with accurate documentation.

Candidates should have certifications in materials testing and be able to work outdoors in varying conditions, including weekends or early/late hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience performing field inspections and testing of construction materials.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain representative samples of construction materials.
• Review plans and specifications for project requirements.
• Perform inspection and testing for rebar, epoxy, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and other items.
• Assist in the lab with materials testing.
• Provide accurate test reports and daily diary to be submitted prior to leaving the jobsite.
• Track time and supplies for the projects worked.
