Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field-based teams on simple power generation projects. The role coordinates day-to-day construction activities, partners with the Site Manager, and drives safe, high-quality work aligned with schedule and budget.

Travel is required, with a focus on field leadership and on-site execution. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of supervisory experience in construction, a related bachelor’s degree, and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years construction supervisory experience required.
• OSHA Training is required.
• Pre-employment onboarding may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search as per law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site subcontractor activities to support safe, efficient execution of power construction work.
• Coordinate site access, daily work planning, and field logistics.
• Support Project Construction Execution Plan and mentor field teams.
• Monitor progress, schedule, safety, and quality to meet project goals.
• Develop schedule recovery plans with subcontractors and project leadership.
• Oversee turnover activities and startup coordination with teams.
• Provide client coordination and field issue resolution.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
