Job description

Ledcor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Construction Manager to oversee our daily field operations. This key role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing project plans and schedules, maintaining site safety and quality control, and managing field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. This position requires the ability to travel up to 100% of the time.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure projects are constructed according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building codes.
  2. Oversee quality testing and ensure conformance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP) on site.
  3. Ensure site safety measures meet or exceed company safety manuals and regulatory standards.
  4. Lead project safety meetings and contribute to developing the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP).
  5. Monitor construction schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
  6. Estimate activity durations and materials for multi-discipline estimates.
  7. Direct field staff and coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
  8. Supervise craft employees and subcontractors regarding safety, schedule, and quality expectations.
  9. Prepare purchase requisitions and review invoices from subtrades and suppliers.
Qualifications:
  1. 2-5 years of construction experience in roles such as foreman, lead hand, or similar supervisory positions.
  2. Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma (preferred).
  3. Knowledge of current construction practices, documentation, costs, and budgeting.
  4. Ability to plan and manage project schedules, developing solutions within guidelines.
  5. Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and managing diverse teams.
  6. Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
Working Conditions:
  1. Must meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and working at heights in various weather conditions.
  2. This is a site-based role requiring 100% travel.
