Description

Ledcor is seeking a seasoned and committed Field Construction Manager to oversee daily field operations. This key role ensures project delivery on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Responsibilities include executing project plans, maintaining site safety and quality control, and managing field staff, contractors, and tradespeople. The position requires the ability to travel up to 100% of the time.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Build projects according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and building codes.
  • Oversee quality testing and ensure conformance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP).
  • Ensure site safety measures meet or exceed safety manuals and regulations.
  • Lead project safety meetings and assist in developing the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP).
  • Monitor construction schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Estimate activity durations and materials for multi-discipline estimates.
  • Provide direction to field staff and coordinate resources to meet project goals.
  • Supervise craft employees and subcontractors regarding safety, schedule, and quality.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and review invoices from subtrades and suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of construction experience in supervisory roles such as foreman or lead hand.
  • Two-year college, trade, or technical diploma (preferred).
  • Understanding of current construction practices, documents, costs, and budgets.
  • Ability to plan and manage project schedules and develop solutions within guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Capable of meeting physical requirements, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and in various weather conditions.
  • This is a site-based role requiring 100% travel.
