Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise sub-contractors and craft teams within a construction discipline in North Carolina. The role emphasizes on-site leadership, safety, scheduling, and quality control while coordinating with project managers and field staff.

Responsibilities include managing craft labor, reviewing timecards, ensuring training and certifications, and supporting project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of construction management or related experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site in NC.
• Electrical trade program experience or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors and craft teams on site.
• Manage labor, timecards, safety meetings, and site orientation.
• Support project managers with schedule development and updates.
• Review certifications and trainings for craft workers.
• Oversee set-up, work in-place, closeout, and demobilization activities.
