Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and craft teams within a given construction discipline. The role requires overseeing labor, safety, training, and quality while supporting project managers on schedules and procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three years of construction management experience, with the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years construction management or related experience.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Afformative Action plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors and craft teams on site.
• Manage project labor and monitor weekly labor reports.
• Review and approve craft worker certifications and trainings.
• Participate in site orientation and safety meetings.
• Coordinate timecards, hiring, and dismissal of craft workers.
• Support project managers with schedule development and updates.
• Coordinate with equipment providers for project equipment needs.
• Review quantity takeoffs and material management during buyout.
• Oversee on-site operations and scope of work.
• Assist with safety audits and quality control.
