ARCO Design/Build in Louisville, KY is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to help manage projects from preconstruction through field execution. You will work with seasoned professionals, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while contributing to safety, schedule, and quality on site.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, coordination of subcontractors, and hands-on leadership in field activities.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program.
• Strong interest in design/build, tilt-up concrete, and industrial builds.
• Prior construction experience preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred but not required.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction planning: attend post-award meetings and assist with planning before work begins.
• Project scheduling: work with PM to develop schedules, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
• Field leadership: oversee daily construction activities to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Subcontractor coordination: manage subcontractor activities and schedule updates.
