Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead daily field activities, uphold safety standards, and ensure quality on site.

You'll collaborate with the Project Manager on schedules, subcontractor coordination, and field execution, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of our projects.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming completion of an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction Planning – Attend post-award meetings to review project details and assist with construction planning before work begins.
• Project Scheduling – Work with the Project Manager to develop construction schedules, sequencing, staffing plans, and equipment needs.
• Field Leadership – Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications.
• Subcontractor Coordination – Manage subcontractor activities, communicate schedule updates, and ensure work is properly coordinated across trades.
