Job summary

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team in Virginia is seeking a Construction Inspector I to perform on-site inspections of bridges, roadways and environmental components, ensuring compliance with codes and contract plans. You will prepare daily reports, assist with change orders, verify lines and grades, and coordinate field testing of materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in the field or related training in construction inspection.
• Must pass fingerprint/background check.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read/write/speak English fluently.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Experience with field testing of construction materials.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor construction sites for compliance with standards and specs.
• Prepare and submit daily inspection reports.
• Assist in change orders and contract estimates.
• Verify lines and grades of project improvements.
• Coordinate field testing of materials.
• Act as on-site Administrator in the absence of the on-site Administrator.
• Mentor staff and actively participate in safety programs.
